SPOA’s 2nd Annual End-Of-Year BBQ is a Success

Strawberry Property Owners Association held its 2nd Annual End-Of-Year BBQ on Saturday September 19th.  Board President, Don Barton and Treasurer, Lisa Reidle manned the grill, turning out hamburgers and hotdogs for the attendees.  Members contributed either a side dish or dessert to share.  Approximately 35 people attended.

Board Member, Dave Salzer of Emergency Services, or OES, gave a great talk about defensible space, home hardening options and the current Cal Fire inspections. He also dropped a little tidbit and said that the Stanislaus Forest is the most beautiful forest in the Sierra as noted by Outside magazine (but we all knew that right).

Meat bees tried to derail the festivities by hassling the grill masters and hovering over the food, but they were not successful.  A good time was had by all.
