River Drive Firewise Group announces their First Annual Cleanup Day on Saturday, September 12.
We will meet at the home of Glenn and Carla Spyksma, 28370 River Drive. Tuolumne County Solid Waste Department is donating use of a 15 Cubic yard dump trailer. They are also providing 60 reusable yard bags for the collection of needles and smaller green waste and slash. Larger branches/logs will be piled up. The Sheriff’s Dept work crew will chip the branches and haul the chipper and dump trailer back down the hill for disposal.
A tree service has already picked up 90 ft of logs left by PG&E. This was paid for by a TUCAREs grant. A second TUCARES grant will be funding a professional cleanup of the property at 31900 State Highway 108.
