Sierra Pacific Industries is proposing timber harvesting on the Bray
and Strawberry properties of SPI, beginning Labor Day, 2006. The
following is an email and sent to SPOA President, Michael Jackson.

Hello Michael:
In regard to the timber harvesting on the Bray and Strawberry properties
of Sierra Pacific Industries, as it stands now, we are planning on
beginning shortly after Labor Day, probably on September 5th or 6th. I
am anticipating the operation will be complete by about the third or
fourth week in October. We have already built the new roads on the
Strawberry parcel. The timber operator will be Sierra Resource
Management from Sonora. If anyone wishes to review the Timber Harvest
Plan, they can obtain a copy of it from the California Department of
